Fuse Plus

The Fuse Plus Programme aims to support low-income single-parent families and larger families to access a free alternative to childcare by providing an after school club that children can be booked into should they fit the criteria.

This in turn will allow the parent(s) to be able to get a job/work longer hours and/or study to pursue a career path of their interest without the added childcare costs providing an added burden. The aim of this programme is to allow families to become more financially stable and provide better family cohesion, while the child(ren) have somewhere safe and fun to go during out of school hours where they can socialise and learn.

Activities:

The Fuse Plus programme will provide a wide range of activities for the children during sessions such as: Arts & Crafts, STEM, Health & Wellbeing, promoting positive mental health, Oral Health workshops and much more.

Highlights:

During the pandemic, we have managed to continue supporting parents when the club has not been able to physically welcome the children into our premises. Some examples of this have been in the form of financial support for fuel costs, digital support for home-schooling, supermarket vouchers to relieve the stress for additional food costs etc.
